Mini Drug Store Haul

Mini Drug Store Haul

Lately, I’ve been into drugstore products. I’ve been trying to find good affordable products that I could honestly recommend. I went on a hunt and came back with a mini-haul; and I’ve been happily surprised with my finds. I thought I’d share them with you.

L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise – Waterproof

I’ve been seeing this mascara everywhere lately, and I had a good feeling about it. This is basically a dupe for the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara … only better. I hear you. What? A mascara better than a mascara that’s better than sex? Bold statement indeed. Let’s just say it’s pretty awesome. It separates, lengthens, volumizes and curls every single lash without being clumpy (which I hate from the Better than sex mascara). Most importantly, it doesn’t smudge or flake (which I also hate from the Better than sex mascara) and it’s super affordable. This mascara answers your every need. (Think I might just have caught on the sex analogy…) I say, grab them while they’re hot!

 Milani Conceal+Perfect 2-IN-1 Foundation+Concealer

I know I’m late on this one, but I couldn’t find this foundation anywhere. Milani products are hard to find around here. So, when I saw it at my groceries store, I grabbed one immediately (sweet potatoes…chicken…foundation…the essentials). I never have high hopes for drugstore foundations, so oh boy was I surprised. First, I’ll say the colour range is limited, and I doubt fair skins could find a match. On the other hand, if you do find a shade that suits you, this is a great medium to full coverage foundation. It has a matte finish without being drying. It sets quickly, powders can be blended beautifully into it, and it is decently long wearing. So happy I found this!

Wet n Wild Au Naturel – Nude Awakening

I saw this palette and I was immediately intrigued. The colours looked beautiful, with mattes and shimmers, even a potential transition colour … which is very rare in drugstore eye palettes. It was on sale at $2 so I thought… Why the hell not. I was so surprised when I got home and swiped these. I will say that the matte shades are a bit dry and you have to work them a little to get a good colour payoff. But still, I definitely got my money’s worth, and more. Some of these shades swipe like high quality eye shadows. They are pigmented and beautiful, and allow for a whole lot of different eye looks. Grab one if you can! I’m certainly happy I did.

Rimmel London Exaggerate Full colour lip liner – 032 Innocent

I’m always on the look out for a good lip liner. I just happened to see these and the shade Innocent just called to me. This lip pencil is perfect for an over-lined lip look. It’s super creamy and long-lasting. I just apply this all over my lips, I lightly blend it with my finger tip, and the finish is seamless. I’m definitely getting this in other shades!

  1. I’m glad you loved that Milani foundation. A lot of people disliked it (even hated it) and I was like “whaaaat, why?? It’s so goooood????” -___- Hahaha @ the fact that you saw this foundation in your groceries. And okay, a mascara that’s better than sex???? I need that NOW! Lol

    1. Really?! I guess if you have really dry or mature skin I could see why someone would dislike it… And yeah! Haha That’s the only place I can find Milani products! Oh, and I’m really loving that L’Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara. I actually just got back from the gym, sweat like crazy, and it’s impeccable. Not a smudge, not a flake, and the curl is intact. This girl is impressed.
