Review: Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow to Go Highlight and Contour Palette

I went to Sephora to return something (can’t remember what it was), and as I was waiting in line, AKA the aisle of doom, I saw it. Small. Simple. Matte black with gold lettering. Just my type. I reached for it. Swiped. And yup. This was coming home with me.

The bronzing powder is alright. Strangely enough, it kinda smells like the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. It does have a tad of an orange tone to it, but the powder is sheer (the good kind of sheer), so you can build it up to the desired intensity without making a mess.

The highlighters are the reason I bought this though. I’ve been wanting a soft highlighter with no glitter that gives more of a subtle glow. And with the highlighter game being so strong nowadays, they are not easy to find. Until I found this little gem.

Chisel, Burst, Gleam

Gleam is a silver tone highlight while Burst is golden. I mix the two together on my finger, gently pat it on my cheek bones, and then blend it in. It’s so soft and creamy and pretty. I look like I’m simply glowing, and not like a road sign at night. Don’t get me wrong, the road sign look is awesome, buuuut for an everyday look, it’s not for me.

I highly recommend giving it a try! Plus. If you travel a lot, it’s travel-friendly!

Let me know if you like it 🙂

Thank you for reading, xo

  1. Despite the blinding highlight trend that’s like seemingly everywhere, I still sadly only own just one highlighter and it’s from a palette. Jeez, I’m a little behind.
